ARCHITECTURE

A rendezvous between tradition and modernity. Old and new. History and change. Opposites attract. The completely renovated villa, formerly the Higher Administrative Court, finds its counterpoint in a minimalist new building to the North. To the southern side stands the former caretaker’s house. To the rear, the trio is girdled by a forest-like park and gains a new identity as an ensemble.

The roles are clearly assigned: the villa is a grande dame, receiving guests with a stylish entrance. The new building keeps itself back, but shows its changeable appearance! Encased in a screen made of anodised folding aluminium shutters, the main structure of the building comes to life with the needs of the guests. They control the interplay between transparency and protection electronically from their rooms.

LA MAISON hotel & spa straddles classicism and the spirit of the times. Freedom and security. Self-awareness and restraint.
